Maryland Redistricting
Redistricting occurs following the conclusion of the 2010 Census. Redistricting is the process of redrawing electoral boundaries within a state. Most elected political offices in Maryland represent distinct geographical areas. These areas are called electoral districts. The United States Congress, The Maryland General Assembly, County Councils, and many county commissions or councils and local school boards represent voters within specified electoral districts.
